The Whitewater Therapy & Sport Center offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, and speech therapy close to home. The clinic is located on the west end of Main Street on the lower level of the Fort HealthCare clinic building, serving the Whitewater area fro over 25 years.
Our therapists have over 130 years of combined experience. All of our therapists practice general therapy. Additionally, some have advanced training in dry needling, vertigo (dizziness), hand therapy, manual therapy, and neuro treatments. We also provide post-operative therapy after joint repair.
People may also need fracture or tendon/ligament repairs. Athletes of all ages come for sports-related injuries. Some individuals have experienced a stroke or a heart attack, others have arthritic pain or need to build strength to return to a level of independent living. In most cases, if you are living with some pain, there’s a physical therapy treatment that can help you.
Direct Access scheduling for Physical and Occupational Therapy is offered for specific insurances. Direct Access allows patients to be seen without going to their doctor first for a therapy referral. Direct Access PTs and OTs can assess patients to make treatment recommendations or refer the patient to their physician if further diagnostics are needed to determine the problem. Please call us or your insurance plan to determine if you need to see your primary care physician for a referral to therapy.
Fort HealthCare’s Whitewater Therapy & Sport Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation, and the majority of commercial insurances that area employers offer. Please call the phone number on your insurance card to determine what your specific benefits and coverage is to make sure Fort HealthCare is “in network” in your plan.
